"As a couple grows in virtue, they grow in holiness. In other words, the couple acquires, by prayer and discipline, those interior qualities that open them to God's love and allow them to share in his love more deeply. Couples instinctively understand this when they speak about their marriage being a means of leading each other to heaven..." From Marriage: Love and Life in the Divine Plan
The sacrament of marriage is a covenant relationship by which we live out our commitment to our spouse as a reflection of God's love. Therefore great care must be taken to prepare for this lifetime vocation. The prospective bride and groom are to make arrangements with the priest or deacon at least six months prior to the suggested wedding date. This meeting must occur before a wedding date can be scheduled. Wedding Guideline Packets are available at the Administration Center to assist in planning the ceremony.
